As the situation in Gaza worsens, ACN has already provided vital support to thousands of Christians in the Holy Land, offering meals, food coupons, rent payments, utility bills, and medical supplies. Committees have been established to address various needs during the lockdown and war, including counseling and spiritual support, operations, storeroom and supplies maintenance, health, transportation, and safety. Testimonies from locals, such as G.A. and J.M., reflect the devastating impact on their lives, with homes destroyed and cherished possessions lost.
In Gaza, where 22 Christians have lost their lives, ACN funds have been instrumental in purchasing medicine for chronic illnesses and ingredients for meals. Despite the challenging circumstances, hope is kept alive in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where ACN assistance in the form of food coupons, financial aid for utilities and rent, and support for the Vicariate for Migrants and Asylum Seekers helps sustain the Christian community.
Marco Mencaglia, Director of Projects for ACN International, emphasizes the continued support for Christians in the Holy Land, urging prayers for peace as the conflict enters its third month in Gaza. ACN remains committed to aiding the survival of the Christian community in the land where the Church began, providing emergency financial aid and supporting crucial projects over the coming weeks.
