Education of catechists

Where there are no priests or sisters, catechists are trained and sent forth to nurture the Christian community.

It is a tragic reality in many places where the Christian people hunger for spiritual food there are no local priests to guide and pray with them. Here the training of the laity for catechetical education, men and women are empowered to share their faith, prepare the people for the reception of the sacraments and nurture the Christian community. With your help, in 2022 ACN supported the formation of 33,821 catechists and lay leaders.
