In southern Lebanon, Christians are caught in the crossfire between Hezbollah and Israel. Missiles do not discriminate. In Syria, many still endure violence and instability. Protection is scarce, and extreme threats remain.  

For countless Christian families, many doors are closing. 

Doors to safety... closed. Doors to work...closed. Doors to a future... closing one by one.

And yet, one door remains open. The Church. 

While so much around them is collapsing, the Church has become their last refuge. Churches, monasteries and convents have opened their doors and reminded them that they are not alone. God is present in their suffering. 

This is where our Holy Mission becomes real.
