Situation in Mozambique
Help persecuted, suffering & oppressed Christians
1 in 5 Christians live in countries where they face constant persecution, simply because of their faith in Jesus Christ.
Despite overwhelming challenges, they choose to cling to the cross, as a living sign of the power of God's love.
They are the witnesses of hope.
"The help we received from ACN was the most beautiful realisation of what it means to be in the presence of God who welcomes and feeds the hungry... Your solidarity transforms faces full of pain into faces full of hope." - Sister Aparecida, Mozambique
Emergency Aid for the displaced people in Mozambique
In Mozambique, the Diocese of Pemba is helping newly displaced people arriving in parishes of Cabo Delgado. There is a unit set up for emergency aid projects, headed by Sr Aparecida Queiroz, who works closely with the parishes and religious congregations and ACN partners.
ACN is supporting this emergency aid project to reach 2,860 families, amounting to around 17,290 people in the Diocese of Pemba.
Each family receives an aid package consisting of 25kg of rice, 25kg of flour, 2kg of salt, 4L of oil, 5kg of beans and 4 pieces of soap.
Your gift can transform lives this Lent.
